We have always kept some pedigree Charolais which had dwindled down to 1 lovely old cow - Sam has now decided that he would like to rekindle the interest and so 2 more have been purchased - he is looking forward to taking one out to some of the shows for the first time this year.
Meg enjoys doing the Young Handler class wherever she has the opportunity and the youngest Grace now has her own Dexter calf - primarily to show also in the Young Handler class. |

We keep about 30 suckler cows on the farm and all their youngstock. We currently have about 7 Pedigree Aberdeen Angus who are bred for breeding animals - they are generally artificially inseminated so that that we can use top quality genetics. We keep Angus because they are economical to keep on our grassland farm.
Jess our oldest daughter enjoys showing and has her own calf which she shows and has done very well with. As our own bred animals start to come through we hope that we will have more animals to show. If you visit any of of our local Agricultural Shows please say hello we travel to The Royal Bath and West Show, North Somerset Show, Honiton Show, North Devon show, Frome Show and in 2008 Jess even went as far as the Royal Berkshire Show.
